Fellowship Baptist Church of Middletown would like to thank all who attended and supported our first Children's Carnival! This event was completely free and enjoyable by all who attended. The event which was held at Memorial Park, right off of Rt. 17/South Church Street near the Medical Center was attended by several hundred people of all ages and from all over the state of Maryland.
During the event donations were collected for CASS (Community Agency School Services) to aid underprivileged students. Two large boxes of supplies of all kinds were provided to Cass through the event, as well as almost $100 cash.
Event activities included:
- Children's games with prizes
- Moon Bounce
- giveaways
- non-profit displays by the Department of Natural Resources, Southern Baptist Disaster Relief program, the Middletown Public Library, and the Middletown Valley Garden Association
- Pony Rides and a giant slide provided by D&D Pony Rides
- Live Music by WorshipIs
We hope to hild this free public event again next year, so keep your eyes open and plan to bring friends and invite neighbors to join us for the 2010 Children's Carnival! Along with the special activities for the Children's Carnival, Middletown Memorial Park provides a full playground.
