Pioneer Club Skill and craft activities

There are 6 different skill badges that children can earn:

crafts, games, wood projects, cooking, art, and outdoors

Each skill has 3-4 projects to complete for that badge.  Children will have a good time while learning how to use tools and equipment, how to do projects step by step, and how to work as teams.  Some projects will take one meeting, others will take a few meetings to complete but all projects will bring a sense of pride and satisfaction as goals are accomplished and children get to show off what they have learned!

Examples of projects:

making bookends, painting t-shirts, mini olympics, community projects, snack making, claywork, nature hike

Because we want to make the projects as exciting as possible parents will sometimes be asked to send in a few dollars to help cover the cost of items or events.  We will try to keep costs to a minimum.  Items  such as juice cans, old clothes or rags, paper towel rolls, leftover paints or leftover craft items will be needed and notes will be sent home with requests.
